Pupil Council

The School Council is voted in once a year. Each class elects one girl and one boy to represent them. The elected School Council members have to give a speech to the class on why they want to be a member, what qualities they have and what they may be good as a council member.

There is a meeting once a week led by Mr McKechnie, the co-ordinator, who oversees the projects. Council members vote on what projects they want to focus on each term after having a discussion with their classes. All children in the school are encouraged to talk to their council member if they feel there is something they are not happy with, are particularly proud of or if they have a really good idea for the school.

The members have time each week to discuss issues with their classes.
